Prominent Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has expressed his concern about the prevalent issues of jealousy and envy within the Igbo community. Edochie made this observation in a post on his verified Facebook page on Wednesday.
In his statement, he pointed out that when an Igbo individual achieves success in any endeavor, their most prominent detractors often tend to be fellow Igbo individuals. This accomplished actor, who also hails from Anambra State, emphasized that even the adversaries of a prosperous Igbo person might come from within their own family.
Yul Edochie called upon his fellow Igbo compatriots to strive for improvement, urging them to overcome envy and unhealthy competition. He emphasized the need for the Igbo community to address these issues and move towards a more positive and supportive outlook.
