According to the latest medal count released by the Main Organising Committee, Delta State is ahead of all other states, including the Federal Capital Territory, with a total of 63 medals. Among these, they have secured 27 gold medals, 20 silver medals, and 16 bronze medals, establishing themselves as the frontrunners in this competition for athletes aged 15 and below in Nigeria.
Following closely behind Delta State in the medal standings is Lagos State, which has garnered 16 gold medals, 11 silver medals, and 12 bronze medals as of the time of this update.
Bayelsa State occupies the third position on the medals table, having secured 11 gold medals, five silver medals, and ten bronze medals.
Edo State, whose athletes are being led by Olympian and national long jump record holder Yusuf Alli, holds the fourth spot, thanks to their achievement of 10 gold medals, five silver medals, and 11 bronze medals.
Kwara, the host of the last two editions of the National Youth Games, completes the top five teams on the medals table, with a total of 17 medals, consisting of five gold medals, seven silver medals, and five bronze medals.
