Wizkid spotted at first public event since the loss of his mother

Wizkid made an appearance at the opening night of the private viewing of “Gabrielle Chanel. Fashion Manifesto” at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London on September 13, 2023. This exhibition showcases the work of the renowned late designer Gabrielle ‘Coco’ Chanel.

During the event, Wizkid mingled with esteemed individuals and had the opportunity to view art exhibits that were not yet accessible to the public. The exhibition featured Chanel couture dresses, textiles, photographs, and accessories.

The singer also participated in photo sessions at the event, even adding a playful expression in one of the pictures. These photos were warmly received by his dedicated fans, who were delighted to see him back in the public eye and socializing.

Wizkid had been keeping a low profile since the passing of his mother, Jane Dolapo, a month earlier. Her death was announced by one of the singer’s close associates on August 19, 2023, with reports indicating that she had passed away in the early hours of Friday, August 18, 2023. This sad news was met with an outpouring of condolences on social media.

Numerous fellow celebrities also paid tribute to her across various social media platforms and during their performances. Notably, artists like Davido, Burna Boy, and DJ Exclusive showed their support for Wizkid during their respective gigs and concerts. Even former Anambra State Governor and presidential aspirant Peter Obi conveyed his condolences to Wizkid via Twitter, offering prayers and words of comfort during the difficult time.

Now, Wizkid’s public appearance has brought joy to his fans, as he returns to the spotlight.
