UFC – Adesanya trains Zuckerberg ahead of Musk fight

Israel Adesanya, the Nigerian-born mixed martial arts champion, has shared images on Twitter of himself training with US tech billionaire Mark Zuckerberg.

This training session comes ahead of a potential cage match between Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta (formerly Facebook and Instagram), and his rival Elon Musk, the South African-born entrepreneur who now leads Twitter.

In a playful comment on Thursday, Adesanya remarked, “We both have South Africans to deal with,” accompanied by four photos of him and Zuckerberg training together.

Adesanya, 33 years old and having relocated to New Zealand as a child, is scheduled to face off against South African fighter Dricus du Plessis in an Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) middleweight fight in September.

According to media reports, Adesanya traveled to Zuckerberg’s residence in northern California on Saturday to begin their training sessions.

The cage fight between Zuckerberg, 39, and Musk, 52, was agreed upon through social media last month. However, the date of the fight has yet to be confirmed. Meanwhile, both billionaires are currently engaged in another battle, as Meta recently launched an alternative to Twitter called the Threads app, which has already attracted over 70 million users.
