Former Justice Mary Ukaego Peter-Odili has categorically refuted the allegations made by Jackson Ude in a social media post titled “Mary Odili working for Tinubu, with PEPT.” In a press statement issued by her media assistant, Felix Enebeli, it was emphasized that Justice Peter-Odili is not acting as a judicial consultant, nor is she involved in any presidential or election petitions, contrary to the claims in the social media publication.
Enebeli further expressed that these allegations are entirely false, malicious, and intended to damage her reputation. The press release also highlighted that these accusations have already negatively impacted her standing and could potentially incite public unrest on a matter of national significance.
To counter these allegations, her legal team has demanded an immediate retraction and a public apology from Jackson Ude, the author of the post. Failure to comply with this demand may result in legal actions being taken. Additionally, Odili’s legal representatives have filed petitions with the State Security Service, the Nigeria Police, and Interpol, urging a swift and thorough investigation into the allegations to exonerate her from these false claims.
