Nigerian striker Odion Ighalo recently expressed his interest in playing in the NPFL under specific conditions, but his aspiration might not come true as he prepares for a return to the Saudi League.

According to Soccernet.ng, Odion Ighalo is gearing up for a new challenge in the Saudi League, where he will be competing alongside prominent European players who have recently moved to the league.

Ighalo had a successful time in Saudi Arabia, achieving both personal and team accomplishments. He emerged as the top scorer in the Saudi League, won the league championship and the King’s Cup, and led his team to the finals of the Club World Cup against Real Madrid.

After successful spells with Al-Shabab and Al-Hilal in the Asian league, Ighalo, whose contract with Al Hilal recently ended, is ready to embark on a new challenge with a Saudi league club.

Although there were earlier reports about reigning NPFL champions, Enyimba, expressing interest in signing the former Manchester United striker, Ighalo is now set to make a return to the Saudi Pro League for a new chapter.

While he previously mentioned his willingness to play in the Nigerian league for a limited time if specific conditions are met, Ighalo’s next move will see him back in the Saudi league. However, the exact club he will be joining is yet to be confirmed.

As Ighalo prepares for this new adventure, the presence of other high-profile European players such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mane, and Karim Benzema in the Arabian league adds further excitement to his upcoming journey.
