Tinubu’s ministerial list ready, to be submitted any moment – Presidency source

  • Post category:Politics

If there are no unexpected changes, President Bola Tinubu is expected to present his list of cabinet ministers to the National Assembly today, July 20.

Sources at the Presidential Villa disclosed that the list is ready for submission as nominees have completed initial security screenings. However, the delays are attributed to ongoing intrigues within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

According to BusinessDay’s investigations, the president is keen on surprising Nigerians with meticulously chosen nominees he believes can perform effectively. He is yet to move into his official residence at the Presidential Villa as he wants to settle political allies who might be affected by increased security measures once he moves in.

The list of ministerial nominees has not been publicly disclosed yet, but there are rumors suggesting that notable former governors like Nyesom Wike, Atiku Bagudu, and Aminu Masari might be among the nominees.

The departure of Abdullahi Adamu, the former APC national chairman, could potentially impact the original list, and there are speculations that Aminu Masari might take over the chairmanship of the party due to his experience as a former governor of Katsina State and speaker of the House of Representatives.
