Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, stated on Monday that President Bola Tinubu is unconcerned about the impending judgment of the Presidential Election Tribunal scheduled for Wednesday. Ngelale made this statement during an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today with Seun Okinbaloye. Tinubu, who is heading to New Delhi, India, for the G-20 summit, will not be present when the tribunal delivers its significant judgment following weeks of hearings. The court of appeal registrar, Umar Bangari, had earlier confirmed that the judgment would be delivered on Wednesday, September 6, in response to petitions challenging President Bola Tinubu’s election win, which was announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission on March 1, 2023. Tinubu secured 8,794,726 votes in the 2023 presidential election, defeating Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party and Peter Obi of the Labour Party. Dissatisfied with the results, five political parties, including the PDP and LP, filed separate petitions to nullify Tinubu’s victory.
