They deserved it – Bobrisky reacts to arrest of gay suspects in Delta

Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, a controversial Nigerian transgender and social media personality, has responded to the mass arrest of individuals suspected of being gay in Delta State.

As reported by DAILY POST, the Delta State Police Command apprehended 67 individuals on allegations of participating in a same-sex wedding ceremony.

Bobrisky took to his Instagram page to address the incident, mentioning that he had received numerous inquiries seeking his perspective on the arrest of the crossdressers in Delta.

Discussing the matter, he underlined that the individuals arrested should face legal consequences as there exists a law in Nigeria that prohibits same-sex marriage.

Addressing the situation, Bobrisky commented, “Hello everyone, I’d like to quickly discuss the issue of those individuals who were apprehended in Delta. This lifestyle is not meant for everyone, but I believe there’s a lesson to be learned from those individuals.”

He continued, “To begin with, there’s a law in place that bans same-sex marriage in this country. So, why would you all gather to organize a wedding? You should face the consequences of your actions.”

Bobrisky suggested that if someone is in a same-sex relationship and desires to be together, they should consider relocating to a place where their relationship is accepted.
