The second season premiere of ‘The Real Housewives of Lagos’ sets a new record on Showmax.

The second season of ‘The Real Housewives of Lagos’ has achieved a remarkable streaming record on Showmax Nigeria. According to the streaming platform, it became the most-watched Original on its debut day, surpassing the success of the first season which premiered in 2022.

Dr. Busola Tejumola, the Executive Head of Content and West Africa Channels at MultiChoice, expressed her delight at the show’s success, highlighting the positive reception from fans. She stated, “Since the official announcement of the second season, the reception has been very positive, and we are delighted that fans are watching and enjoying the show. We can’t wait for the fans to see the rest of the season.”

Additionally, the reality show gained significant attention on social media, with the official hashtag #RHOLagos trending on X, formerly known as Twitter.

The new season of RHOLagos provides a deeper exploration of the personalities and lavish lifestyles of seven prominent women. The original cast from the first season, including Iyabo Ojo, Laura Ikeji-Kanu, Mariam Timmer, Chioma Ikokwu, and Toyin Lawani Adebayo, is joined by newcomers Faith Morey and Tania Omotayo.

The RHOLagos is internationally distributed by NBCUniversal Formats, a part of Universal International Studios within the Universal Studio group. Season 2 is currently available for streaming on Showmax, with new episodes released every Friday.
