“The ‘BBNaija’ house feels like a unique form of confinement,” as expressed by Seyi Awolowo.

Big Brother Naija alum Seyi Awolowo has shared his perspective on his time in the house, likening it to a distinct form of confinement characterized by challenging conditions. He emphasized that being in the house brought out a different aspect of his personality.

In an interview with media personality Toke Makinwa, Seyi delved into his most controversial moment in the house, where he made a statement about his sons and their interactions with other people’s daughters. Makinwa questioned his thought process at that time, to which he responded by expressing his unawareness of making those statements.

He explained, “I wasn’t aware when I said it; I was caught up in a moment. Being in the Big Brother house is like being in a unique kind of prison. When you agree to endure extreme conditions, you might underestimate the term ‘extreme conditions,’ and I think I reached my breaking point during that time.”

Makinwa further inquired why he chose to participate in the show a second time if it was so challenging. Seyi disclosed his motivation for returning, which was primarily focused on self-promotion and fundraising for future projects.

“Life presents a double-edged sword, and if you don’t take risks, you won’t know what you can achieve. In those moments, you seize opportunities to make yourself more marketable and raise your profile. At the time, I didn’t have any ongoing projects, and I was open to enhancing my self-marketing to secure funds for my upcoming endeavors,” he elaborated.

Seyi Awolowo initially gained fame during his first stint on Big Brother Naija in 2019, where he endeared himself to many viewers. However, during the All Stars season, he faced backlash due to the derogatory statement he made, which garnered significant criticism.
