Tension As Gunmen Kill Imo State Traditional Ruler After Invading Palace

On Monday afternoon, the traditional ruler of Nguru community in Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State, Eze James Nnamdi, was tragically shot dead at his palace when a group of gunmen invaded his home. The incident occurred while the slain king was hosting a guest, identified as Chief Ignatius Nwaru.

The news of the traditional ruler’s killing has caused fear and panic in the area. According to an unnamed source, Eze Mmirioma, as he was popularly known, was shot dead at around 3 pm, and the incident is deeply disturbing.

The guest who was present during the attack was rushed to an undisclosed hospital for treatment.

Confirming the murder, the spokesperson for the police in the state, Henry Okoye, stated that the state Commissioner of Police, Muhammed Barde, has ordered a thorough investigation into the incident. A high-powered investigating team has been assembled to ensure the arrest and prosecution of the perpetrators.
