Shehu Sani: Buhari Leaving Behind Debt, Poverty, Banditry – Yet Boasts Of Fulfilling Promises

  • Post category:Politics

Shehu Sani, a former legislator from Kaduna Central, has challenged President Muhammadu Buhari for asserting that he has brought about the transformation that he promised Nigerians in 2015 when running for office.

On Wednesday morning, Senator Sani claimed the outgoing president was boasting about keeping his promises to Nigerians although he was leaving behind a big debt and a significant number of people living in poverty.

Sani stated that more than 133 million Nigerians live in poverty in Nigeria, citing a report by the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF).

He said that Buhari will hand the new administration a country free of banditry, murder, and kidnapping.

“The President is living behind 77 trillion naira debt,133 million poverty-stricken people, 25m people at the risk of hunger according to Unicef, 10m out of school children, mass Killings and kidnapping on a daily basis; yet he said he has delivered on the change he promised,” Senator Sani wrote on Twitter.
