Formerly renowned child actress, Regina Daniels, has secured an official position that has caught the public’s attention. She has been appointed as the Social Secretary of the Senator’s Wives Association of Nigeria, as announced by the actress herself on her verified Instagram account on July 20, 2023, following the previous day’s Assembly meeting. Expressing her enthusiasm for the role and the prospect of contributing to a prosperous Nigeria, Daniels shared the news with her followers.
During the inaugural meeting of the tenth Senator’s Wives Association of Nigeria, which was graciously hosted by Mrs. Ekaette Akpabio, the wife of the Senate President, Regina Daniels revealed her new responsibility as the social secretary of the forum. She described the gathering’s focus on advancing the country’s growth and seeking ways to support their husbands, the senators, and the First Lady of the federation in serving the Nigerian people more effectively.
Notably, Regina Daniels’ husband, Ned Nwoko, recently took office after winning the Delta North Senatorial seat during the February elections. In the polls, he secured victory with 92,514 votes, surpassing the Labour Party (LP) candidate, Mr. Kennedy Kanma, who garnered 86,121 votes, and the incumbent and All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Sen. Peter Nwaoboshi, who received 36,816 votes. Subsequently, on June 13, he was inaugurated as a member of the tenth Senate of the National Assembly and officially commenced his senatorial duties on July 6.
