The mother of Primeboy, a childhood friend of the late singer Mohbad, whose real name is Ibrahim Owodunni, has made an emotional plea for help after her son was detained by the Lagos police. Mohbad, a former signee of Marlian Record label owned by Naira Marley, passed away under controversial circumstances on September 12.
As part of the ongoing investigation into Mohbad’s death, several individuals, including the auxiliary nurse who treated him, Feyisoya Ogedengbe, Sam Larry, Naira Marley, and Primeboy, are currently in police custody.
In a viral video on social media, Primeboy’s mother appealed to actress Iyabo Ojo, journalist Oriyomi Hamzat, and the Nigerian public at large to intervene, expressing her desperation not to lose her son. She emphasized that she had raised Primeboy to be well-behaved and couldn’t fathom him being involved in such a situation.
She also addressed her fellow Nigerians, pleading for their mercy and support, particularly calling upon Iyabo Ojo and Oriyomi Hamzat to help. She shared her humble background and the importance of her first child, Ibrahim, to her, hoping that he wouldn’t be used as a pawn in any conflict.
The Lagos State Commissioner of Police has identified the auxiliary nurse who administered the injection to Mohbad as the “prime suspect” in his death, according to DAILY POST.
