Osimhen could sue Napoli over TikTok video – Agent

Napoli’s Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen, may consider legal action against the club after they posted a video that seemed to mock him on their official TikTok account, according to his agent, Roberto Calenda.

Reports from PUNCH indicate that Nigerians on social media were disappointed with the now-deleted video, which surfaced after Osimhen missed a late penalty in Napoli’s recent 0-0 draw against Bologna.

In a statement released on Tuesday, Calenda expressed his displeasure with the video, calling it unacceptable. He further stated that this incident adds to the challenges Osimhen has been facing, including media trials and fake news. Calenda also mentioned that they reserve the right to take legal action and any necessary measures to protect Victor.

Osimhen made a record move to Napoli from French club Lille in 2021 for a fee of €70 million, potentially rising to €80 million with add-ons. He played a crucial role in Napoli winning their first Scudetto title in over three decades, scoring an impressive 26 goals and becoming the league’s top scorer.
