Ondo’s first female Speaker gives birth to first child at 54

Hon. Jumoke Akindele, the first female speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, gave birth to her first child on Saturday at the age of 54.

Between May 2014 to March 2017, Akindele, a state representative for the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP), presided over the House of Assembly.

She served in the Assembly as the Okitipupa State Constituency 1 representative.

Her friends and political allies, who had been celebrating her following the birth of the baby girl, broke the news of her new kid on social media.

What God cannot do, doesn’t exist, according to some of the posts on the Facebook page of one of her acquaintances, Segun Odidi. The Ondo State House of Assembly’s first female speaker gave birth to a healthy baby.

“Her first fruit!! What a cheering news! i’m so happy for you big sis. Congratulations Rt. Hon Jumoke Akindele .”

One of her close associates, Yinka Ogunleye wrote on her facebook, “BREAKING NEWS!! First Female Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, got delivered of a baby yesterday.

“HER FIRST BABY!! GOD IS INDEED AWESOME!! Congratulations, Rt Hon Jumoke Akindele. My own darling big sister. This is the best news I’ve woken up to in a loooooong while!!”
