Ikechukwu Sunday Okonkwo, popularly known as Cross from the Big Brother Naija reality show, shared a deeply personal revelation about the tragic assassination of his father. He expressed that the loss of his father at an early age, with his mother shouldering the responsibility of raising him and his siblings with immense love, imparted a valuable lesson not to hold onto grudges.
During a recent interview with Arise TV, the reality TV star explained that this experience instilled in him the awareness of life’s inevitable conclusion, leading him to adopt a more laid-back approach. He stated, “I don’t harbor resentment. My mother and siblings taught me the importance of love. After my father’s assassination, it became vital for us to protect one another, forming a close-knit bond. This taught us not to dwell too deeply on life’s challenges. Instead, we learned to take things as they come.”
In the same interview, Cross also shared his perspective on the recently concluded Big Brother Naija All Stars season, where he believed Soma would emerge as the winner. He also expressed admiration for the relationship between Pere and Mercy as one of his favorite aspects of the show.
