Folarin Balogun, the striker from Arsenal, has completed a move to Monaco in Ligue 1 following a successful season with Stade de Reims, during which he scored 22 goals.
The young forward has committed to a five-year contract with the French club. Monaco will pay Arsenal €40 million (£34.4 million) for Balogun’s transfer and the agreement includes a 17.5% sell-on clause.
Balogun, who has been associated with Arsenal since the age of 10, did not feature in any competitive matches for the Gunners this season upon his return from his loan spell at Reims.
Balogun faced formidable competition for a starting position in Arsenal’s forward line, with Gabriel Jesus, Eddie Nketiah, Kai Havertz, and Leandro Trossard all ahead of him in the pecking order.
