I want to write my name in history of AC Milan – Chukwueze

Samuel Chukwueze has expressed his ambition to leave a lasting legacy at AC Milan, one of the prominent teams in Serie A.

The Nigerian footballer recently concluded his tenure of five years at LaLiga’s Villarreal, opting to transfer to AC Milan in the past month. Despite the prolonged negotiations, both clubs eventually reached an agreement, with AC Milan paying a total of €28 million, inclusive of additional payments, to secure the services of the winger.

Chukwueze made his debut appearance for AC Milan in a friendly match against Monza on Tuesday evening.

Reflecting on the club’s illustrious history, Chukwueze stated, “As I consider the impressive past of this esteemed club, memories of numerous exceptional players and trophies come to mind. I hold a special admiration for Kaká, recalling his pivotal goals during crucial moments in the Champions League, particularly the unforgettable one against Manchester United. My aim is to create an impact and contribute to winning titles alongside this team. This is my purpose for being here, and it’s the reason AC Milan brought me in. I am driven to etch my name into the annals of this club’s history.”

Anticipating his involvement, he added, “I am eagerly looking forward to commencing my journey here. I believe our team possesses the capability to outshine any opponent in Serie A. When we face formidable adversaries like Inter and Juventus, I am confident in our ability to emerge victorious against them.”

These sentiments were conveyed in a statement featured on ACMilan.com.
