“I Am Still In Love With My Boko Haram Husband” – 27Yr Old Rescued Chibok Schoolgirl 3

A 27-year-old Chibok schoolgirl named Mary Nkeki, who was rescued by Nigerian Army troops, has revealed that she still holds affection for her Boko Haram husband and desires to reunite with him.

She expressed these sentiments during her presentation at the headquarters of Operation Hadin Kai Theatre Command in Maiduguri, Borno State, on Monday.

Mary Nkeki explained that her husband played a role in her escape after he surrendered to Nigerian Army troops.

“In terms of marriage, my husband is still alive, and I still have feelings for him. I don’t know whether he is still in Dikwa or if he has been brought to Maiduguri, but I would like to be reunited with him if that’s possible,” she shared.

She further disclosed that she had given birth to two children from her association with her Boko Haram husband, but unfortunately, both children did not survive.

During the event on Monday, Major General Gold Chibuisi, the Theatre Commander, mentioned that Mary, upon her rescue in Dikwa, was promptly taken to an Army medical facility for evaluation. He confirmed that she is in stable condition and will be transferred to the state government for further assessment.

The Theatre Commander also revealed that this recent development has increased the count of rescued Chibok schoolgirls to sixteen in the year 2023.
