Ade Ebenezer, also known as Olakira, a popular singer, has shared a story about how he was expelled from his church choir due to his involvement with four female choir members. This experience had a lasting impact on him even after he transitioned to becoming a secular artist.
During his appearance on TVC’s program, Wake Up Nigeria, Olakira revealed that he faced depression and had difficulty focusing after the incident. He had previously been a gospel artist but had some romantic encounters with choir members, leading to his expulsion from the church.
After venturing into the secular music world, Olakira faced new challenges and distractions. Feeling overwhelmed, he decided to take a break and seek therapy to help him clear his mind and regain focus. He attributed his comfort around women to being raised by a single mother.
