Gabriel Jesus played a pivotal role in securing a crucial 2-1 Champions League victory for Arsenal over Sevilla on Tuesday, redeeming their shocking defeat to Lens earlier in October.
The Brazilian striker orchestrated Gabriel Martinelli’s opening goal with a brilliant turn and pass. He then extended the Gunners’ lead with a deadly finish, propelling Mikel Arteta’s team to the top of Group B.
Arsenal now sits at six points, one ahead of Lens, who drew 1-1 against PSV Eindhoven at home, with both teams level on two points, just like Sevilla.

Raya later made a spectacular save to tip Mariano Diaz’s effort onto the crossbar, although it would have been disallowed for a foul if it had gone in.
Sevilla, known for their home victories over Manchester United and Juventus last season in the Europa League, continued to press in the final stages. However, Arsenal held on for the win, marking a positive turn of events in their Champions League campaign.
