Burna Boy becomes first African artiste to sell out US stadium

Nigerian singer Damini Ogulu, known by his stage name Burna Boy, has achieved a historic milestone by becoming the first African musician to sell out a stadium show in the United States. The Grammy award-winning artist filled the 41,000-capacity Citi Field Stadium in New York City on Saturday.

Burna Boy’s sister, Nissi, had the privilege of being the opening act at the concert. Additionally, the self-proclaimed “African Giant” surprised the audience by bringing out British rapper Dave to perform their collaborative track titled “Location.”

During the event, Burna Boy delighted fans by performing songs such as “Ye” and selections from his last four albums: “Outside,” “African Giant,” “Twice As Tall,” and “Love Damini.” The show showcased his talent and further solidified his status as an influential artist in the music industry.
