Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has declared a 24-hour curfew across all 21 Local Government areas of the state, starting immediately on Sunday, July 30, 2023. The decision was prompted by the increasing violence caused by hoodlums attacking individuals and businesses.
In a brief statement posted on his verified Twitter handle @GovernorAUF, Governor Fintiri emphasized that only individuals with valid IDs performing essential duties will be allowed to move during the curfew. He urged all residents to comply with the curfew directive for the safety and well-being of everyone in the state.
