Emmanuel Myam, known by the moniker Emmiwuks, a devoted fan of the renowned artist David Adeleke, widely recognized as Davido, was hospitalized after an extraordinary 15-day bicycle journey from Benue State to Lagos with the aim of visiting the music sensation.
On Friday, August 18, 2023, the determined cyclist from Benue successfully arrived in Lagos, where he received a warm welcome from the Tiv community residing in the state.
During the journey, Davido advised Emmiwuks to turn back, explaining that he wasn’t available at the time. Despite the offer of monetary assistance by Davido, Emmiwuks declined the gesture.
Undaunted, Emmiwuks made an unexpected visit to Davido’s residence on Saturday night, hoping to meet the singer. Unfortunately, Davido wasn’t present at the time.
A recently surfaced video on Emmiwuks’ social media page shows him visibly weak and in poor health, receiving intravenous drips attached to his hand. He is accompanied by his friends, who inquire about his appetite and offer to bring him food.
Although Emmiwuks didn’t have the chance to meet Davido at his Lekki home, he considers his mission accomplished and is content with having caught a glimpse of Davido’s residence in Lagos.
