Bayelsa United, a team in the Nigeria Professional Football League, has finalized the acquisition of Sam Adekunle.
Adekunle made the move to the Restoration Boys from Abeokuta Stormers, a club in the Nigeria National League, in exchange for an undisclosed fee.
The central defender has inked a two-year contract with the Yenagoa-based team.
Adekunle played a key role in leading Stormers to the NNL Super Eight playoff in Asaba.
His signing serves as a direct replacement for Ebedibiri Endurance, who departed for Rivers United last month.
Adekunle also participated in the warm-up friendly matches for Bayelsa United against Akwa United and Enyimba.
