‘Affliction will never rise in your homes’ – May Edochie breaks silence on son’s death

May Edochie, the first wife of renowned Nollywood actor and director Yul Edochie, has broken her silence after several months following the tragic death of her son, Kambi Yul-Edochie. The incident occurred on March 30, 2023, when Kambi developed a seizure while playing football with his schoolmates.

Returning to social media after a period of mourning, May expressed her gratitude towards her fans and all those who offered condolences to her family during the difficult time. In an Instagram post on Saturday, she described the loss of her son as the most devastating and traumatic experience of her life.

May acknowledged the uncertainty of the future and the unforgettable nature of certain events, but emphasized the importance of finding a way to live with them, no matter how painful or challenging they may be. She expressed her profound appreciation for the incredible love and support she received from family, friends, and well-wishers from around the world.

May shared that the prayers of her supporters had been a source of strength during these trying times. Despite feeling resigned to fate and overwhelmed by a sense of meaninglessness, she expressed gratitude for her amazing fans who stood by her even during her absence. She offered her prayers and blessings in return, hoping that affliction would never arise in the homes of her supporters.

May acknowledged that it is impossible to forget a child, as Kambi will always hold a special place as the second of her four beloved children. She concluded by expressing her wish for her sweet angel, Kambilnachukwu, to rest in the embrace of the Almighty until they meet again.
