A student named Favour Chigozie Nwadinobi from Premium Breed Secondary School in Nnewichi Nnewi, Anambra State, has achieved the highest score in Chemistry among all students in Anambra, making him one of the six finalists who will represent Nigeria at the 2023 International Chemistry Olympiad in Switzerland. Nwadinobi competed against students from more than 600 schools in Anambra to secure his place as a finalist. In his speech, he credited his success to God, his teachers, and his commitment to his studies.
The State Commissioner for Education, Prof. Ngozi Chuma-Udeh, welcomed the team and emphasized that Nwadinobi’s accomplishment reflects the state government’s unwavering dedication to providing Anambra students with opportunities for academic excellence on both national and international platforms. Chuma-Udeh praised Nwadinobi and the school for their exceptional performance and stressed the importance of continued hard work and dedication. She urged them not to become complacent, as the state eagerly anticipates their outstanding performance at the Olympiad.
