During her appearance as a guest on the Tea With Tey podcast, the singer expressed her desire to have her tombstone inscribed with the words ‘She lived life on her own terms,’ as it reflects her current life philosophy. Teni emphasized her intention to live her life according to her own desires because when the day of her passing arrives, she wants to depart having pursued her hopes and dreams to the fullest.

She explained, “I want ‘She lived life on her own terms’ written on my grave. Yes, I aim to die content, having lived without any regrets. Many individuals possess immense potential but are afraid to express themselves. Believe me, the cemetery is filled with countless unrealized dreams and talents, things that could have changed the world.”

She went on to support her philosophy by noting that people will always have something to say about others, regardless of their actions. Teni added that there are individuals who dislike her without reason and even speak negatively about her behind her back, despite benefiting from her.

The singer added, “And you see, the fear of what people will say, people will never stop talking, I swear to God. There are people I’ve assisted who despise me, people I’ve helped who will speak ill of me when you step outside. No matter what you do, there will always be someone who disapproves.”

Teni emphasized that everyone eventually passes away, and she is committed to remaining true to herself throughout her journey. She further stressed that she is not seeking approval from anyone other than herself.

In her words, “I’m not living my life to seek your approval; the most important approval is me accepting myself. Anything beyond that, I can’t assist you with, I’m sorry. I will be genuine in every possible way.”

She also encouraged people to adopt the same philosophy and prioritize their own happiness.
