“President Bola Tinubu has designated Tope Fasua, a prominent economist and CEO of Global Analytics Consulting, as his Special Adviser on Economic Affairs within the Vice President’s office.

Fasua shared the news of his appointment on X (formerly Twitter), expressing his enthusiasm to contribute to the national development efforts of the administration in his new role. He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and graduated at the top of his class in economics from Ondo State University in 1991.

With over 25 years of experience in the financial and economic sectors, Fasua is a regular commentator on economic matters in Nigeria. He is known for his candid views on economic policy and has critiqued some of the government’s previous policies.

Fasua’s appointment is expected to introduce fresh ideas and perspectives to the government’s economic team, with the aim of formulating and executing policies that will stimulate economic growth and generate employment opportunities for Nigerians.”
