Nigerian musician Joseph Akinfenwa Donus, who is widely known as Joeboy, has opened up about his practice of conversing with plants.
The artist behind the hit song ‘Baby’ shared that he maintains communication with four plants he keeps in his room.
During an appearance on the latest episode of the Zero Conditions podcast, Joeboy emphasized the significance of spirituality in his life.
He stated, “Having a spiritual foundation is extremely important. It holds a lot of importance. Whether you engage in spiritual practices or prayer, it’s essential.”
Regarding his decision to ink tree tattoos on his body, Joeboy explained his affinity for nature.
He said, “Personally, I’m drawn to nature. I have an appreciation for plants. I possess four plants in my room.”
He even humorously named them Anthony, Themal, Raphael, and Vanessa. Joeboy went on to reveal, “I actually have conversations with them, expressing my emotions. Sometimes, speaking to plants can be more comforting than speaking to people.”
