Wike will be expelled from PDP at appropriate time, Atiku’s ex-spokesman

Daniel Bwala, a former spokesman for the Atiku Abubakar Presidential Campaign Council in the 2023 presidential elections, has asserted that Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, will face expulsion from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) when the appropriate time comes. This statement follows Governor Wike’s dare to the PDP leadership to suspend or initiate disciplinary actions against him.

Bwala made these comments on a television program, stating that while Wike may bring development to the FCT, his role is equivalent to a “glorified commissioner,” and he should avoid wielding the power of a state governor. Bwala also cautioned Wike against making threats to demolish structures outside the original Abuja masterplan, emphasizing that Aso Rock and several military barracks were not part of the initial FCT Master Plan.

A delegation consisting of presidential candidates from various parties, including Charles Nnadi of the Action Peoples Party (APP), Felix Osakwe of the National Rescue Movement (NRM), Prof Peter Umeadi of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), and Dr. Odey Udo, vice-presidential candidate of the Action Democratic Party (ADP), expressed their commitment to politics without bitterness. They highlighted their decision not to challenge the presidential election in court as evidence of this approach.

Felix Osakwe of the NRM conveyed their willingness to offer their services to the President, Muhammadu Buhari, in the spirit of inclusive politics. They requested that the All Progressives Congress (APC) consider including members of their delegation in the campaign councils for the upcoming governorship elections in Imo, Bayelsa, and Kogi States.

Osakwe expressed gratitude to the APC Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, and the party for their inclusive approach to politics. Ganduje, in response, commended the delegation for their support of the ideology of inclusive politics and government of national unity, promising to present their request to the President.

“I will convey your request and ensure that you see Mr President eye to eye. I thank you for being faithful to your respective parties. You are not like one political aspirant who became a presidential candidate by accident and by hijacking another party because he was partyless.

“He could not give an account accordingly to INEC because it cannot qualify it to be a political party. He decided to hijack a political party. And since, he could not realise his aspirations he decided to make that party a revenue platform rather than a political party.

“He has now decided to expel the founder. God forbids. He will not succeed. But I salute you presidential candidates for being good ambassadors of your political parties, not destroyers of your political parties and for not turning your political parties into your source of revenue.

“Since you cannot get the presidential tickets, you will get pocket tickets. I thank you. No doubt we will include you in the three states that we are having elections come November this year,” the APC national chairman said.
