Renowned Nigerian producer and music executive, Michael Collins Ajereh, also known as Don Jazzy, has disclosed the reasons behind his decisions not to sign afrobeats sensations Wizkid and Davido to his former record label, Mo’Hits.
Don Jazzy explained that he couldn’t sign Wizkid because Banky W of EME (Empire Mates Entertainment) had already secured the Starboy’s talents before he had the chance to approach him. As for Davido, Don Jazzy acknowledged the opportunity to sign him but believed that Davido would succeed without the need for a record label’s support.
In addition, Don Jazzy expressed regret for not signing talented artists like Simi and Teni. He also revealed that he almost signed rapper Falz The Bahd Guy, but unfortunately, the deal fell through.
