President Tinubu Will Move From Mistake To Mistake Until Nigerians Join Hands To Push Him Out – Sowore

  • Post category:Politics

Human rights activist and Presidential Candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore, has cautioned President Bola Tinubu to be careful and avoid provoking Nigerians with his policies that are detrimental to the people’s interests.

Sowore warned that the hardships and sufferings that Nigerians are currently experiencing due to the sudden removal of fuel subsidies may lead to civil unrest.

He made these remarks during a Salah Get-Together event in Abuja while addressing members of the AAC party.

Sowore stated that the situation in the country is such that Tinubu’s government will continue to make mistakes, eventually prompting the people to rise up for a revolutionary change in Nigeria.

He stressed that Nigerians do not deserve to suffer while abundance exists in the country, and they have come to accept that their role is to liberate the nation from the grip of corrupt leaders.

Sowore highlighted that the removal of subsidies creates economic challenges as it affects the informal sector, which contributes about 80% of Nigeria’s economic system. This disruption leads to job losses and economic recession.

He also raised concerns about the importation of substandard fuel since the removal of the subsidy, noting that it burns faster and damages engines, further exacerbating the hardships faced by Nigerians.

Sowore criticized the focus of Tinubu’s government, stating that it prioritizes the interests of foreign oil executives rather than the well-being of Nigerians.

He also revealed the government’s plan to introduce a tax consultant that would burden Nigerians with increased taxes, with the consultant collecting a significant portion of the taxes on behalf of the federal government.

Sowore emphasized that his stance is clear and unwavering, asserting that the current government is not working in the best interests of the Nigerian people. He reaffirmed his commitment to the liberation of the country and maintaining focus and direction in pursuit of that goal.
