Rema’s hit song “Calm Down” sets a new record by remaining on the UK Official Singles Chart for an impressive 45 weeks.

Nigerian superstar Rema continues to make waves on the UK Official Singles Chart with his hit song ‘Calm Down’. Since its release in February 2022, the track has achieved tremendous success globally, topping charts in North Africa, the US, the UK, and Asia.

In the latest edition of the UK Official Singles Chart (7 July 2023 – 13 July 2023), Rema’s ‘Calm Down’ extends its record as the longest-charting Afrobeats record, remaining on the chart for an impressive 45 weeks, albeit dropping three places to No. 39. Meanwhile, Burna Boy’s 10th top 40 hit climbs two places to reach a new peak at No. 36.

Libianca’s ‘People’ slips three spots to No. 47 but still maintains its presence on the chart for 27 weeks. Ayra Starr’s ‘Rush’ remains steady at No. 54, celebrating its 24th week on the chart. Davido’s ‘Unavailable’ faces a decline, dropping five places to No. 65 in its 11th week on the chart.

In the UK Official Afrobeats Chart (9 July 2023 – 15 July 2023), J Hus’s ‘Who Told You’ featuring Drake holds onto the No. 1 position, while Burna Boy’s ‘Sitting On Top Of The World’ remains strong at No. 2. Asake’s ‘Amapiano’ reaches a new peak at No. 3, Rema’s ‘Charm’ climbs one spot to No. 4, and Asake’s ‘Basquiat’ achieves a new peak at No. 5.

Omah Lay’s ‘Reason’ moves up two places to No. 6, NSG’s ‘Unruly’ maintains its position at No. 7, Davido’s ‘Feel’ rises one spot to No. 8, Tyler ICU’s ‘Mnike’ advances two places to No. 9, and Spinall’s ‘Loju’ featuring Wizkid makes its debut at No. 10.

Additionally, Odumodu Blvck’s ‘Firegun’ makes its entrance at No. 15, while Davido’s ‘Kante’ re-enters the chart at No. 12.
